The Education Foundation of Lower Merion is seeking a part-time Administrator!
Overview: The Foundation Administrator is a part-time communications consultant that serves the Education Foundation of Lower Merion and reports to the Foundation President. This is a 1099 position.
Responsibilities: • Serve as the administrator of the Foundation including maintaining office hours once per week. • Develop communications materials for the Foundation, including website and print materials. • Handle all general Foundation incoming and outgoing correspondence, including letter-writing, email and phone communication, and check deposits. • Prepare monthly reports to the Treasurer and attend Foundation meetings. • Assist Board leadership and Committee Chairs with communications support and planning and implementation of fundraising events and campaigns as necessary. • Coordinate scheduling and planning of Foundation meetings. • Update the website regularly and maintain the Foundation’s social media presence. • Maintain database of correspondence and donor prospects. • Represent the Foundation at community and parent organization meetings. • Grant-writing as needed for Foundation programs.
Experience: • Minimum of 5 years of experience working in marketing and communications and/or development. • Knowledge of or experience with Raiser’s Edge and Constant Contact platforms a plus. • Experience in non-profit management, fundraising and planning major events.
Skills: • Outstanding interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills including writing, computer, website, and social media. • Self-starter with ability to manage own workload and manage multiple projects at once. • Knowledge of Lower Merion schools and the Lower Merion and Narberth community preferred.
Compensation: • $20/hour. One can expect 10-15 hours per week at busy times and less during summer months. Qualified candidates please correspond to email@example.com.
